Who we are and our mission

eShard has a strong innovation path in cyber-security. We help our customers to face complex challenges related to cybersecurity (protection of data, transactions, intellectual property). We offer turnkey solutions to test the resistance of chips, embedded software and mobile applications against intrusions, during their lifecycle. With our highly educated R&D teams, eShard is at the state of the art of attacks and protection or beyond it. Our main office is in Bordeaux, France, and we have offices in Marseille and Singapore.

Our mission To enable our customers to master the cybersecurity challenges, thanks to cutting-edge tools and know-how of "excellence" dedicated to professionals and experts.

Our approach

Our approach is powerful in 3 different ways:

  1. We offer a holistic approach combining software, expertise and training to our clients, ensuring that we are at the state of the art;
  2. Through the collaboration of varied competencies, from front end programming to Pentesting expertise, we are at the heart of cybersecurity solutions innovation;
  3. We are focus on the UI/UX and integrate the requirements at a very early stage in our product development.

Our story

In 2015, eShard was created by Hugues Thiebeauld and Georges Gagnerot, two passionate people with decades of expert experience in cybersecurity and innovative technology.

In 2016, eShard started to propose expertise services to assess any vulnerabilities on integrated circuits. Our cryptology experts and developers conceived our flagship software esDynamic. esDynamic is a collaborative data science platform that can probe, manage and improve the security of our customers' cryptography or integrated circuit implementation, including side channel and fault injection.

In 2018, we expanded our international footprint by opening a subsidiary in Singapore.

In 2019, a new visual identity emerged for eShard. We created a new logo and the esCoaching catalogue has been redesigned on our website. The whole offer of our masterclass courses and online practical modules is now more visible to our trainees and clients.

In 2020, ALPhANOV and eShard joined their forces to propose a comprehensive offer of security analysis combining high technology hardware and high expertise software with esDynamic.

In 2021, esChecker is launched as a SaaS for automated security tests of mobile applications with regulative, contractual and custom security requirements.
